Lolcats

funny pictures - A good time to start... ...Praying, Mantis.

Even though my cats are annoying creatures who scratch my feet if they are out of the covers, wake me up in the morning when they want outside and attack anything I leave on the floor, they make me laugh!

And they give comedic people so much material to work with, (like the picture, and this website, and this one too!).

SO for this appreciation blog post, I chose cats!

Here is the master plan:
1. Perform! - I want to dance professionally!
2. Own a dance studio!
3. Most importantly I want to be happy. :)

Creative Outlets

As a nationality today, we readily accept that the paintings hanging on the wall of museums are "art". The Mona Lisa? Obviously a masterpiece. The Last Supper? Art at its finest.

Even abstract art. We readily accept that anything in a museum is a work of art. I went to the Museum of Modern Art in NYC and I saw one painting that was literally a black canvas with a single strip of yellow. Even though I don't understand the statement that is trying to be made, I agreed that it must be art because its in a renowned museum.

Then there is graffiti. Technically illegal. Generally frowned upon. BUT I think some graffiti is "art". When graffiti is making a statement, when it is something that thought was put into, then its art. NOT when somebody spray paints their name on the wall of a building, or when somebody puts swear words all over an alleyway.

This picture on the left is called North America's Footpring. I think the statement of this is pretty clear. Its by a man who goes by the alias Roadsworth because most of his graffiti is done on roads.

This picture on the right is called Life Support System, also by Roadsworth. I think it is so creative how he incorperates the street markings into his art.

Life Support SystemIf you want to check out more of his art you can visit his website here.

Music Ideas

So...

For an upcoming show, I am choreographing a dance, and the requirements involves using a piece of Classic Rock music. As in, Beatles, Rolling Stones etc.

This may come as a shock BUT other than Beatles Rockband, I am kind of behind the times on this type of music and I need a music idea ASAP or else I will be stuck with the most cliche song of all time.

So for all of those people are listen to a large variety of music and feel like giving some suggestions I would love you for life if you could comment and give me ideas!
-Nothing to hardcore
-Children come to this show/dance in it so no music that is too obscene.

Other than that, go CRAZY!

Thanks :)

Ch'yeah, Writer's Craft!

Yo Feicky
Good News! I love this course!
I have found all of the assignments have been pretty fun. Some harder than others but all interesting.
I had a hard time with the illustrations of the children's story, especially since I am not artistically inclined AT ALL.

I like the blogging, its pretty sweet.

Travel Writing will be really fun, I am thinking.

I don't like the fact that we are sometimes graded on things that are not our writing (ie, illustrations and lack of props for presentations). I understand why you took the marks off, but I still disagree.

I could improve by coming up with better blog post ideas, and putting more into the writing of assignments.
