Yo Feicky
Good News! I love this course!
I have found all of the assignments have been pretty fun. Some harder than others but all interesting.
I had a hard time with the illustrations of the children's story, especially since I am not artistically inclined AT ALL.
I like the blogging, its pretty sweet.
Travel Writing will be really fun, I am thinking.
I don't like the fact that we are sometimes graded on things that are not our writing (ie, illustrations and lack of props for presentations). I understand why you took the marks off, but I still disagree.
I could improve by coming up with better blog post ideas, and putting more into the writing of assignments.
Thanks for the feedback, Kira. I appreciate it. :)
ReplyDeleteAs for the latter comments, I think I hear ya, Kira. It's true it's Writer's Craft, but think of it like this: when you give a presentation in History class, you are still graded on your presentation skills, grammar, etc. Just as a successful novel or play is 99% writing, the "packaging" of it is still important. A bland cover, despite the cliche (never judge a book...) tends not to sell books as well as one that grabs the reader's attention.
Also, you lovelies had a choice whether you wanted to be graded on the presentation part or just the writing. So, tried to keep it fair.
Anyway, there's my explanations. Not sure if it helps or not. Oh, and the illustrations with your groovy bear story were graded as in making them match the text--not in how professional they were. Though they were darn good, sister!
