We Day is an event Free the Children puts on. They do it across Canada, in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and now in KW at The Aud! The goal is to inspire kids to help out with charities in their communities, and to help communities around the world. And it is so inspirational.
I was really lucky because I was one of three student volunteers from W-O sent to help out with We Day. We got free tshirts (displayed in the picture), special colour coded wrist bands, and the oppertunity to actually help make this event possible.
I was part of the Youth Registration Team. Our job was basically to welcome the masses of youth entering The Aud, and to make sure they had tickets in hand, wrist bands on and to help collect their canned food. The best part was trying to get them pumped for the day. We decided to lead cheers, cheer them on and talk to them about how excited they are for We Day.

We heard Al Gore, the Reverend Jesse Jackson and Craig and Mark Kielburger speak, and they were so inspirational. There were bands like the Bare Naked Ladies, Stereos and Shawn Desman perform which just added to the excitement.
There were crowd pumpers, people who dressed up in crazy outfits and lead the We Day Dance, and pumped up the crowd. They are my idols. All of them had so much energy all day! Next We Day, I want to be one of them :)
What an AMAZING day!
